kmtune output doesn't match what sam says

One of the Team changed the swchunk kernal parm over the weekend and rebooted.

sam now shows the following.
swchunk Current Value - 32768
Planned Value - 32768

But kmtune shows a different story.
# kmtune -q swchunk
Parameter Current Dyn Planned Module Version
===============================================================================
swchunk 32768 - 16384

Any idea why they would be showing a different planned value.
This is a SuperDome npar running 11.11 patched pretty up-to-date.

Re: kmtune output doesn't match what sam says

I would suspect a SAM patch. Actually I would always suspect SAM needing a patch.

swlist -l product|grep SAM

is it at least PHCO_32397 ?

even better PHCO_36562 ?

Re: kmtune output doesn't match what sam says

SAM patch on is PHCO_35520 (HP's recommended). I'll try the latest PHCO_36562. Our systems are patched quarterly with a conservative Customized-Patch-Bundle that HP builds for us. PHKL_33372 was superceeded a while ago by PHKL_36133 which is applied.

It looks like kmtune get's it's information from /stand/system which has a "swchunk 16384" in it. Anyone know what sam issues to display the parameter values ?
