krng on IA64

Greetings,

I am looking for a random number device for HP-UX 11.22. It seems that the krng depot doesn't support the IA64 platform. Has anyone had success with other random number generators on IA64?

Do you have a /dev/random device file?

You should be able to find a shareware version at http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Maths/Misc/prngd-0.9.26/

I don't think a supported version will be forthcoming from HP until 11.23.

Hi (Again),

PRNGD is available at the porting site.

Though this is not done through device files unlike KRNG, it can help generate random data to be fed to openssl etc.,
