krsd / init error message after Gold Pack install / reboot
I recently installed Gold Pack Sept 2005 on our RP7410 system running 11.11 OS. The patches were required by our appication upgrade. Kernel patches were involved and the system was rebooted after the install. It is up, running servicing apps and users as normal. But the console is repeating this message on the display.
INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly.
Will try again in 5 minutes.
Check for possible errors.
id:krsd "/sbin/krsd -i"
I see krsd is being respawned from the inittab. I can't find much information about krsd out side of the man page that explains it's basic function.
The syslog doesn't show much specificaly related to krsd. I can only find this repeated message.
krsd[13640]: Delay time is 300 seconds
krsd[13640]: exiting
Anyone have more information / docs that explain krsd and that may help me eliminate this error?
Thanks

Re: krsd / init error message after Gold Pack install / reboot
From man krs_flush
FILES
/stand/krs/* Primary KRS files
/stand/krs_lkg/* Last known good KRS files
can You compare those sets of files, and also read through Your swinstall logs and also run a swverify over Your whole installed software base?
It seems very much like Your kernel update had a little problem there :)

yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.
