L-1000 Frequent Reboot
We have HP 9000 L-1000 Servers, and few servers
are getting rebooted automatically (frequently),
The syslog says "OVER TEMP Warning (envd)"
Apart from the env room temperature what are all the other factors needs to be checked on the Hardware side?
Please refer the attached syslog message,
Thanks in Advance

Re: L-1000 Frequent Reboot
The temp inside your L class must be getting extremely hot for it to shutdown. Ive seen this problem before when air-con breaks down. If you cant lower the room temp then leave the cover off the L class to allow some air to flow inside it, or if your really desperate take off the cover and get a decent size desktop fan and point it directly into the L class, the extra airflow should keep your temp down, hopefully enough to stop it overtemping and rebooting.

Re: L-1000 Frequent Reboot
Did you check your room temperature?
If it's OK, you should check the system's fans. Maybe one is broken.
other thing is, you should "Execute the following command to obtain event details: /opt/resmon/bin/resdata -R 127664141 -r /system/events/core_hw/core_hw -n 127664129 -a"
good luck.

Re: L-1000 Frequent Reboot
that will give you the PowerSupply, Fan, tempeture and overtempeture status.
I think in the first GSP version, it allowed you to change the FAN speed to HIGH, if it is not already on that mode.

Re: L-1000 Frequent Reboot
I had the same problem with a L2000 and there is a Service Note from HP (A5191A-16A) that replace the Plataform Monitor Board (A5191-69110).
