The Fc HBA with SC-LC connector connected to brocade switch, do not show connectivity at switch side. But if I connect to JBOD, it is getting connected. The details of adapter r

Hi,
Check the GBIC transceiver at switch side.
Also check the speed is fixed (not auto negotiation).
"support show" from the switch after connecting would give possibly more details.

Solution
Hi Vaman,
There are two types of devices (HBA cards) which are loop capable and the other ones are fabric capable.
Now you are trying to connect to switch which means your HBA needs FABRIC capability. You need to check that first becuase your adapter details shows that it is LOOP device.

I just found out that this Adapter is capable of handling both topolgies (Loop as well as Fabric).
