lack of C99 support in HP-UX 11.00

Hello all!
Building gcc-3.2.2 I discovered that gcc
configure script detects the lack of C99 support.
I mean a such functions as for example
size_t mbrtowc(wchar_t *pwc, const char *s, size_t n, mbstate_t *ps);
(convert a character to a wide-character code)
Because of that gcc installer didn't built
wide character staff (wstring, wstreams, etc..)
Does anybody know by the chance if appropriate
patch exist?
