Re: Lan duplex
lanadmin is good comand for get/set duplex settings as said Jollyjet but it's not permanent, for keep your settings after a reboot:
if your card is btlan edit /etc/rc.config.d/hpbtlanconf
HP_BTLAN_INTERFACE_NAME[0]=lan0
HP_BTLAN_STATION_ADDRESS[0]=
HP_BTLAN_SPEED[0]=100FD
HP_BTLAN_MTU[0]=1500
same for gelan, igelan, iether card, edit /etc/rc.config.d/hpCARDTYPEconf

Re: Lan duplex
Attached is some boilerplate about autoneg.
If you are presently running 10 HD, I will bet that you are using a system which has a core or other NIC that is 10 Mbit/s only. That would include, but not be limited to, the D,E,F,G,H,I,K class servers, and most, but not all of the "three digit" workstations. If the NIC in question is driven by the "lan2" driver that is a 10 Mbit/s HD only interface (see ioscan -fk output)

Re: Lan duplex
You can check # lanadmin -sx
Where PPA_Number is the lan number, and can be obtain from lanscan output.
To change the settings you have to enter the lan card in the driver file , in /etc/rc.config.d/hpigelanconf or hpietheconf , depending on the type of card.
# use , # ioscan -fnC lan to check.

Raj.
