Re: lan syslog error.

Richard,

This could be either connectivity problem or a hardware issue.

Try the following.

1. Use lanadmin and set the correct speed. If it is to be meant for 100MBPS do a lanadmin -X 100FD ppa.
2. Reset the port - lanadmin
3. Change the port on the switch and see if it works.
4. Do an unplumb on the card and see if the messages stop. If so, then definitely it is a connectivity issue.

ifconfig lan? unplumb

Re: lan syslog error.

Hi,

Sometime speed drops from the lan card perhaps a patch issue.
Use lanadmin -X to set the speed on the fly and reset the switch.
The other main file you can look into:
/etc/rc.config.d/hpbase100conf
This file is self explainatory.

Re: lan syslog error.

Check for the latest HSC 100 BT patch and dependencies for your O/S version (here at ITRC)
For 10.20 - PHNE_22216
For 11.0 - PHNE_22461

Don't forget the dependencies....
