Language locales and SAP support
A project that a client is running has raised the subject of additional language support for SAP running on HP-UX 11.0
I'm decidedly weak on this subject-although in the past I've used the locale -a command and set LANG environment variables. However these changes have applied to keyboard settings.
What I am seeking, and I would be most grateful for, is any guidence or hints concerning what components are necessary to support a SAP environment supporting various languages (i.e. the application level) and in particular which components don't come bundled with HP-UX either for default installation or available on the Apps CD's, and which components are chargeable and require purchasing from HP.
I've had a search around and found various resources, but nothing yet that defines what is required to provide application-level (SAP)support of various languages. It may well be that what I've got already is sufficient, but I've a sneaky suspicion that a lot more components (presumerably chargeable) have to be investigated and installed.
thanks in anticipation
Bren

Re: Language locales and SAP support
Hi,
For my few experience on SAP, the things you just have to add is the Langage RunTime Environnemnt (32 or 64bits according the SAP release), i.e, the bundle :
HPUXEng32RT for English 32bits Runtime Env,
HPUXFr32RT for French 32bits Runtime Env,
...
