LanSafe III - setting up an UPS group

I am trying to set up an UPS group. I am using a rx5670 hpux 11.23 for the group controller which is connected to an R6000 ups. The member I am trying to attach is a rp2470 with 11.11 and is NOT attached to the ups. When I go into the console on the controller, it is not seeing the member. When I go into the member's console, it can bring up the controller's console. How do I set up the controller to see the member and be able to set up the member's parameters to control a power failure on that server?
