Large File Restoration

Hi

This is again pertaining to large files. If I got a UNIX OS without largefile option, how I can restore all data fles from a single compressed file of more than 2GB.

Re: Large File Restoration

Hi:

Sorry, you can't. Since tar and cpio can't backup files larger than 2GB, restoration isn't an issue. If you are using frecover, therefore, any file larger than 2GB will be skipped during an attempted restoration to a filesystem that doesn't support largefiles.
