ldap_proxy_config + Memory fault(coredump)
I am busy configuring ldapux on HPUX 11.23 to connect to a Win2k3 Active Directory Server.
Whenever I enter any details for the proxy user with "/opt/ldapux/config/ldap_proxy_config -i" and then try verify them with "/opt/ldapux/config/ldap_proxy_config -v", I get the following error:
Memory fault(core dump)
When checking "file core", I get the following:
core: ELF-32 core file - IA64 from 'ldap_proxy_con' - received SIGSEGV
Does anybody have any suggestions? If I bind to LDAP using ldapsearch -D "cn=..." manually using the details of the proxy user (or any other user), I get a successful connection to LDAP and the search executes fine.
When I try to use those same details in ldap_proxy_config, its a no go.
Has anyone experienced this or able to suggest anything?
Thanks

Re: ldap_proxy_config + Memory fault(coredump)
LDAP site preparation:
http://docs.hp.com/en/internet.html
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-2710/ch07s03.html
http://docs.hp.com/en/J4269-90054/ch01s02.html
Things to think about:
1) Event logs on the Windows, box, could be helpful.
2) Group policy in Windows to permit foreign srevers to integrate. By default, very Microsoft this feature is turned OFF.

Re: ldap_proxy_config + Memory fault(coredump)
Did the LDAP-UX setup tool run OK?
What version of LDAP-UX are you runing?
Make sure "swverify LdapUxClient" runs clean too.
Cheers,
Doug

Re: ldap_proxy_config + Memory fault(coredump)
Re-installing LDAPUX from scratch and re-running the LDAP setup program sorted the problem out.
