LDAP-UX and TCB
Is it possible to have the LDAP-UX client services and the HP-UX Trusted System Base mode at the same time. I am using Netscape Directory Service 4.1.2 and HP-UX11.0. I can login (with telnet) to the machine perfectly using LDAP-UX (PAM and NSS) if the machine is not in Trusted mode. The requirements of our environment demands that all systems are in Trusted mode, though LDAP-UX doesnot work. Has anyone got any ideas ??
Thank-you and regards :-)

Re: LDAP-UX and TCB
From my understanding of LDAP is not compatible with HP-UX
Trusted Systems. This is true since we know that LDAP is integrated with NIS,
but NIS and trusted systems are not compatible.
LDAP supports PAM authentication which allows clients to use the server as a
"trusted" system. But this feature in not like HP-UX trusted systems. For
detailed information on LDAP integration, go to
