Licensing Serviceguard

Excuse me, maybe it's wrong forum for my question, but i hope on your answer.

I tried to install Serviceguard from old HP Application software disk by 2004y. This disk contain the Serviceguard v11.16 but I did not know that Software License Manager generates codeword only once.

Now we have new Application software disk with Serviceguard v11.17 but I can't install SG from him because I don't have other codeword and I can't generate him.

I tried to send request for "UPDATED software (Support Agreement) from HP-UX Application Media" and has got answer:

"Ref.: Missing information to generate the requested codeword."

I have filled all field of the form except " Service Agreement ID", " System Handle", " Support Account Reference" because I have only HP Order Number and Customer ID.

Please, how to generate codeword for other disks?

Thanks for your answer!

Re: Licensing Serviceguard

In order to get software updates, you need a Support Contract. Your HP account team or reseller should be able to tell you what your Service Agreement ID (SAID) and System Handle are.

If you don't have a support contract of some kind in place, then you aren't entitled to the software update anyway.

Re: Licensing Serviceguard

You can't get new codewords for updated software if you have no support contract.

How did you get this updated software disks ? Have you returned the Reply Card for software updates automatically sent by HP or have you requested it through ITRC Software Update Manager (http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/sum/home.do) ?

In the first case you should find your System Sandle or your Service Agreement ID on the letter wich came with your reply card. In the second case you should find those informations on ITRC view support agreement details at http://www11.itrc.hp.com/service/sum/viewSA.do
