I am doing remote support.Our onsite team member told me that "Status light on one of the HBAs on serverA is flashing error"..
from ioscan & fcmsutil i didn't get anything.Still i have attached the o/p of ioscan & fcmsutil. Could you please look into this & let me know if everything is fine...

fscmsutil -> of Driver status shows ONLINE
everything looks ok. Better to check.
Eventlog & syslog -> under stand why HBA flashing error
# more /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log
# more /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
# dmesg

Tnx for quick reply.I have attached the event log.there are some thing with the disk 0/0/0/2/0.6.0, but from ioscan,diskinfo &dd every thing is fine.

from the monitor to the notification mechanism.
You can "simulate" an event in order to check if the monitoring is working, e,g, if the test event reaches HP SIM or another monitoring software.
This is such a "simulated" event (manually sent).

# /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/send_test_event -v -a disk_em
This will simulate a disk related event (this is what you have).

SolutionThe HBA has 3 LEDs for each port, yellow, green and amber.
If all LEDs together flashing 2 times per sec. it is a failure of the HBA.
The yellow LED indicates a 4Gb/s connection.
