Little Forum Navigation Help

I just posted an entry on the sys admin forum today and have gotten more responses that I can see. How can I see more than the first six or seven postings? I don't see a next page option anywhere. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks for the help:-)

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

Typically there is a scroll bar on the right of the screen that would allow you to scroll down. Have any modifications been done to your browser?

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

No mods that I know of. I have both IE and Netscape. They both stop on the same one. There is a scroll bar, but when I drag it to the bottom, the last reply I see is from Anthony where he mentions the "bogus" file. The forum show that I have 25 replies but I can't see them all :-( .

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

I think I see what you mean - you did the post for the removal of the links - it says you have 25 responses and I can only see 10.

I am wondering if the HP forum puts some sort of quota on the maximum size so as too not get too big.

I would check with them

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

Bummer, if you don't get it in the first couple tries, you're SOL. That NEXT one might be the answer, but you'll never know it! Oh well ...

Thanks for your help. You can't see my reply about the link files either then. I found out what it was. They were once NFS mounted file systems that these linked files pointed to. That server is long gone. I got real suspicious when I boot the system to single-user mode and the links became directories - lrwxrwxrwx / drwxr-xr-x. I was able to delete the directories in single-user mode. When I came back into multi-user mode, they were back as links ... do do do do, do do do do ... . I deleted the nfs mounts via SAM, and now the links are gone. CASE CLOSED - another mystery solved. Just another day in the life of a sys admin. Fun stuff. Take care; I'm sure our paths will cross again ....

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

Bill, it is true. I can see just 9 messages from that post (10 including your very first one). Acctually, I guess lots of them are duplicated. I replied to your post and because I did not see it, I pressed submit button a few more times.
What I said?
Yes, something that you can link /var/tmp to /tmp and have possibility to have /tmp clean up at every reboot (or if you run manualy /sbin/init.d/clean_tmps
To get that, edit /etc/rc.config.d/clean_tmps and have LIST_TEMPS=0, CLEAR_TMP=1

Sorry, my confusion. I mixed up your post with another one.

Re: Little Forum Navigation Help

There seem to be a variety of problems with the forums in the last few days. Messages self duplicating, objects not found, etc. I've reported all of this to Shayne, so I guess it's only a matter of time before it's cleaned up. My bet is that the DBA's for this database have their hands full at the moment.
