Loading 11i on L Class server cannot get passed keyboard language

Trying to load 11i on a HP9000 L Class.
After getting to the point where I select the language. I press enter to "confirm" my choice it comes right back to the same menu?

Check your firmware


Otherwise you have a keyboard problem and the enter does not work.

I have tried pressing Enter, Return and have also tried "next". It keeps saying Please confirm your choice by pressing "RETURN".
Then it takes me back to the 27 listed language choices...

I am choosing choice 26 US_English

I saw Pete Randall's reply to your question yesterday about the 70096 console. Were you able to get it setup for the correct emulation? It sounds like a console setup problem.

Just a thought:

After you select the language you need (26: English?) by pressing "enter", press "tab" to go to the next manu or option.

The Tab key appears to have gotten me to the next step


however now I am back to the same issue I had yesterday.. I am now reading a message on the screen see below, (yes JP you are correct I am still unclear as to the proper settings for the Terminal).

" The console firmware terminal type is currently set to vt100. If you are using any other type of Terminal you will see "garbage".


I had it set to "HP" not vt100 this is a 700/96 so I am some what confused?

correction, I have the actual Terminal Set to HP, I have no clue how to the change the Terminal type in the firmware via GSP..
