locale en_US.ASCII

Hello,

we are migrating a SAP instance from a Reliant UNIX Server to a HP-UX Box. On the Reliant UNIX Server there is a locale en_US.ASCII. I cannot find this on my HP Box. The customer says we need this otherwise we had to change the database whih takes a long downtime.
Is there a local called en_US.ASCII.

Re: locale en_US.ASCII

Take a look at the manpage for lang (5), it says the default language for HP-UX is POSIX - which is based on 7-bit US ASCII character set.

So, the default on HP-UX is basically already using US ASCII.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...
