Can anyone tell me how to determine which files on my system are located on which physical volume?
Apparently that was possible on MPE, but the question was posed to me today and I'm not sure if we can determine that on HP-UX.
I know the bunny-answer is out there:)
Thanks!

Re: Location of files on physical volume...
Hazem,
You can see what physical disk, or disks, a logical volumes resides on by using either "lvdisplay -v" or "pvdisplay -v". I am not sure how you can locate a particular file.

Solution
Hazem,
I take no credit for this. The question intrigued me so I went poking around and found an answer.

Thank you both. Jim, you still deserve points since you lead me to where the answer is:) Thanks again!
