Lockdisk on SAN VG

Hye,

We run two rp4440 hp-ux 11.11 servers in a MC/SG cluster. Both servers are connected to a IBM DS4800 SAN whith two FC HBA'S per server.
On this SAN I want to create a VG and a lockdisk in this VG.
A LUN created on the SAN has a (primary) PV / link and a alternate PV / link.

VGXX:
PV Name /dev/dsk/cXXt0d4
PV Name /dev/dsk/cYYt0d4 Alternate Link

Now I want to know:
- What to configure in the cmclconf.ascii file as lockdisk? The (primary) PV / link?

- What about the alternate PV / link?

- What happens if the primary PV / link is lost? Will the cluster use the Alternate Link?

Re: Lockdisk on SAN VG

you only use the Primary path to the disc, not the Alternate
If the Primary were to be lost, it would not use the Alternate

Re: Lockdisk on SAN VG

No because MC/ServiceGuard is not configured to use LVM for the cluster lock disk. See the TKB doc below for a better explanation:
