Log file paths...

Can someone tell me the paths to the log files for HP UX 11.23 and Serviceguard?

We are trying to figure out why serviceguard packages are moving.

Thanks

Re: Log file paths...

Hi,

check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log

Re: Log file paths...

Check the package log files in /etc/cmcluster/

The actual log file should be something like .log or .sdf.sh.log.

Re: Log file paths...

Hi Gene

You must also check package log file located under /etc/cmcluster or /etc/cmcluster/

Re: Log file paths...

How about the logs for "Serviceguard" itself? Not the packages?

How about the TOC logs?

Thanks

Re: Log file paths...

If you're running SG 11.18 and configured your package in the new modular fashion, the package log file will be in /var/adm/cmcluster/log.

Re: Log file paths...

You should see TOC messages in syslog.log. I believe general SG messages will show up there as well.

Look for things like 'cmcld' and 'CM-' in your syslog.log. Those will be SG messages.
