Can somebody tell me what is tha maximum size for a logical volume and filesystem in HP-UX ver 11.00

since there is more than one answer to your question, it is better if you see the document linked below:
http://docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/onlinedocs.py?mpn=5971-2383&service=hpux&path=00/00/1&title=Supported%20File%20and%20File%20System%20Sizes%20for%20JFS%20and%20HFS
and since this is frames forced hp docs document, you need to click on the link located in the lower left column (narrow one) and follow the link which says:
"Supported File and File System Sizes for JFS and HFS"
There you will see the table answering your question
