Re: login problem when ldap server is down
adapt the /etc/nsswitch.conf file to refer local in case ldap is not avialable.

Re: login problem when ldap server is down
Sorry for wrong information
i am able to login but its taking 5-6 min time to give me a shell prompt
what i found that
i login using local user ,at the same time
i did netstat -na | grep 389 from existing connection , i found connection remain in SYC_SENT state for sometime & repeat for 2-3 time ,as soon as socket get clean i get shell prompt
Could this be the problem ??
if yes how do i control this time from ldapux
client deamon ??
