already i have posted a message regarding this.
Actually i would like to know if a system has installed whether a base veritas product or more than that.
And can the veritas product(more than base) be used to replace the on line jfs.
Thanks for the help.

Re: logival volumes
HP-UX 11.11 Foundation has the base Veritas Volume Manager 3.5 as wel as the base VxFS (aka JFS).
HP-UX 11.11 Enterprise OE and above - has the Full VxFS (a.k.a. OnlineJFS).
Note that the VxVM bundled with the OE is actually the Full release already - you only need to purchase the license to make full use of it.
OnlineJFS - if you already have it - is the same as Veritas Filesystem (VxFS) product.
If you buy Veritas Foundation Suite from HP or Veritas -- you get Full VxVM and Full VxFS (a.k.a Online JFS)
If you already have OnlineJFS (aka Full VxFS) and you bought Foundation Suite . you should only be paying for Full VxVM since you alredy have Full VxFS (online JFS).
Hope this helps.

Re: logival volumes
To confirm the instaled products you can use
# swlist -l product|grep -i veritas
With Regards,
Siva.
