logrotate of mail.log

logrotate of mail.log

I am added mail.log to my logrotate, does anything need to be done pre or post? Does mail.log need to be touched (created for it to write to it.) We do not have sendmail running on the machines.

How is the mail.log being rotated? Is it being /dev/null'ed? Is it being deleted? Is it being truncated?

If the mail.log is being deleted I would touch a new one just for peace of mind. Otherwise there should be no additional interactions required.
