Hi,
I have K360/HP-UX 10.20 with 3 nos. HP Xterminal (ENVIZEX II).
Xterminal S/W installed is
B4474GA B.08.01 HP Netstation Software
It has been observed that the Xterminal hangs and dosn't connect to the server by restarting the Xterminals. It works only when I restart the server.
There is no information in the syslog.log.
Is there any other log file for the HP Netstation Software where I can get some information?
What could be the reason for the Xterminal hanging problem?
Thanks,
Raje.

Raje,
Doesn't connect ? Does it boot correctly but fail to display CDE ? If yes it's likely to be a problem on the server or network : at the time of the hang what do you see on the xterminals screen ? can you remsh to it (see below) from the hpux server ? Is dtlogin running oon the hpux server ? check also /var/dt/Xerrors ?
If your problem is the xterminal fails to actually boot ie downlaod it's config files etc from the enware fileserver then server enware s/w revision : fyi enware s/w is now free : you get it on the applications CD's but must call HP to get a password to unlock them : current versions = 9.12
latest patch = PHSS_23021i'll almost guarantee this is a result of your
Logs & other info :
remsh get log ?
remsh get installed ?
remsh get config ?
or alternatively use the xterminal config screen -> to go into Diagnostics and view the log file. Also the xterminal should have an error on it's local graphics console as to where it failed or stopped booting ?
Also do you have any switches or hubs involved here ?
