lp w/ nt client

Lexmark color laser printer atached to hp-ux 10.20 workstation via parallel
port and print Q set up w/ dumb lp file. WOuld like to have windows NT 4
clients
print to it using lpr ( standard tcp/ip print service included w/ NT 4).

What's the best way to have the files sent to the printer without being
modified by the HP-UX spooler ?

Using the dumb model is the way to go, just like you are. Once the HP is set up
to receive remote print jobs, it will handle them the same as local jobs and
use the same script. It only uses the rmodel script for sending remote print
jobs to other systems.

Yes, I currently have that, but jobs coming from the NT 4.0 client ( using lpr
) are modified when they pass through the HP spooler/model. so that i get
garbage on the printer. HOw can I just have the HP pass raw files from the NT
client to the printer without any modifications ?
