lpsched not working properly everytime after reboot

lpsched couldn't function at all after reboot although it is running. I have to shut it down and restart it. Why?

Thanks

Hi,

I think we had the same problem here on an 11.00 box, and I believe we solved it with a patch. What version of HP-UX are you running on the box?

We are running HP11.00 here too. Please kindly tell me which patch we need to run?

Re: lpsched not working properly everytime after reboot

I have the same problem running HP 11.00

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this.

My customer needs to do a lpshut and then lpsched after each reboot to get the network printing working again although it reports the scheduler is running after a reboot.

Thanks in advance

Re: lpsched not working properly everytime after reboot

Installed the latest patch and still no luck.

The printer works fine but I have to do a lpshut and then a lpsched after each reboot.

May be I can do a lpshut and a lpsched during the startup sequences ??

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Re: lpsched not working properly everytime after reboot

Hi,

Check the owner and group of the directory /etc/lp/interface/model.orig. It should be lp:bin

Hope it helps!!
