lpstat: execlp failed

I get the subject messsage when I execute lpstat -o. When I execute lpstat -p I get the following:

printer (login terminal) disabled since Dec 31 15:56 -

fence priority : -7041
printer disabled since Dec 31 15:56 -

fence priority : -7041
printer is idle. enabled since Dec 31 15:56

Re: lpstat: execlp failed

I would take a look at /etc/lp and ensure that the scripts in interface, sinterface, and cinterface are present and executable.

Re: lpstat: execlp failed

Use the command tusc to truss the system calls and debug on lpstat command.

Re: lpstat: execlp failed

Hi

i thing that you must first check if the sched is running (lpsched or to shutdown lpshut )

the error that you are getting is about using
/usr/sbin/lpfence printer fence

this is used when the lpsched is not used .

see the man page :

man lpfence
