Actually, it looks like the port archive doesn't host the 11i version, but it links to it:

The latest release of lsof is available via anonymous ftp from

Ensure you can meet installation requirements.

In order to build lsof, you need:

Internet access to retrieve the latest version of the logdaemon software
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) to verify the authenticity of the software distribution
GZIP to uncompress the downloaded file
a C compiler to build the executable program

Download the lsof 4.50 distribution.

You should download lsof onto a system that contains pgp to allow you to verify the distribution before building. The tar file can be downloaded in one of two forms: compressed using the UNIX compress utility and compressed with the UNIX gzip utility. Download the one that is most appropriate for your site (the gzip'd version is much smaller in size but requires the GNU gunzip utility to be uncompressed), and uncompress the file in a directory appropriate for creating the system.

Unpack the lsof distribution.

Once you have uncompressed the downloaded tar file, extract the files with the following command:

tar xvf lsof_4.50.tar
