LUN's Question.

I have a 3 node SG cluster (all n4000) running 11.0 attached to a HITACHI array. When i run the ioscan -fnC disk i see that the maximum instance # (2nd col) as 328 on all 3 servers. Now the storage wants to add more lun's . I want to know what is the maximum number of luns that could supported on this configuration (3 node SG, 11.0, tachyon hba, n4000). Can someone help?

Thanks

Mike.

Re: LUN's Question.

Shalom Mike,

With 11.00 and an Hitachi array the maximum number of LUNS you can attach to 1 fiber card is 8.

Re: LUN's Question.

Hi Mike,

Have a look at the official white paper by HP, which has questions to all your answers.

Re: LUN's Question.

I looked at my system so for each HBA card the limit is 320 paths, i seem to have a total of around 100 paths now (calculated from vgdisplay -v for each vg (i find one primary and one alternate link), so does this mean i have another 220 luns i can add? Please confirm.

Thanks

Mike
