lvextend: Error detected when reading from file "/etc/lvmpvg".

Hi,

When I am trying to extend the LV I am getting the below error.

# lvextend -L 2176 /dev/vg01/lvol01
lvextend: Error detected when reading from file "/etc/lvmpvg".

LV Allocation is "PVG-strict/distributed", but there is no /etc/lvmpvg" file exists.

LVs are not mirrored in the VG "vg01"

Hi:

The logical volume was created with PVG-strict distribution and there is no 'lvmpvg' file.

You can simply create an '/etc/lvmpvg' that matches your current configurtion (regardless of the fact that you don't (yet) mirror). See the manpages for more details:

u can manually create /etc/lvmpvg file, which one is an ascii file
