lvextend -i optionD

Dear Friends

We are extending one vg eg.vgs12 .with 50 gb  ,in 4way striping. usin lvextend with -i option .The luns are existing XP array .Is it required to mention  -i option.....Synats Please

The lvextend command does not have the '-i' option, as you can see in the lvextend(1M) man page:

So the answer to your question is "no, -i is not required, and any attempt to use it with lvextend is an error."

 

You could have found this answer yourself, by simply entering the man lvextend command on your HP-UX system, or by browsing the HP-UX Clickable Manpages at:

http://www.hp.com/go/hpux-clickable-manpages

 

I honestly do not understand why any HP-UX sysadmin would need to ask a question like this. Did you not know about the existence of the man pages??

Its lvcreate -i and -I option ,tyupographical mistake.
