Re: lvextend

Since both vg03 and vg09 don't have any real data it's better to remove them from the system and start over especially since c8t1d5 is the same as c10t1d5 and it should be recorded under vg03 in the lvmtab file. But it is found under vg09 which is incorrect. So better recreate vg03 or whichever one you need.

Re: lvextend

OK, delete the vg03/vg09 combination.

umount the filesystems and use vgexport to delete the config from your system.

Re-create vg03 on both disks (c10t0d3 and c10t1d5), extend the vg with c8t1d5 and c8t0d3.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: lvextend

Thanks so much for all of your help...

Would it be better to use sam to remove and recreate vg03... Vg09 was a spare vg.

Thanks again
Torsten.

Re: lvextend

I would use vgexport to get rid of the config of vg03 and vg09.
Of cause you can use SAM to configure your new vg.

You can also consider to delete your SAN disk device and re-create it in a new size.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
