lvlnboot -r /dev/vgroot/root returns 'A Logical Volume has to ready been assigned..."

How do I reset the root volume on boot up. lvlnboot -r /dev/vgroot/root returns
lvlnboot: a Logical Volume has already been assigned to be the Root or Swap Logical Volume"

I've removed a mirror from a previous set of boot disks via lvreduce, vgreduce, pvcreate, lvextend, mkboot, lvextend, lvnboot...

How do I reset the root boot volume.

I also get "Warning: Logical Volume number "1073741827" found on physical volume not found in "/dev/vgroot".

I need to the the mirrors and boot set up so that I can reboot.

Thanks...

I always use lvlnboot -R to update the boot stuff. Have you tried this option.

lvlnboot -v will show you what is currently assigned as boot volumes. You may need to clean up some prior entries with lnrmboot -[sdrb]
