lvlnboot remove boot

I have this output:

# lvlnboot -v vg00
Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:
Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:
/dev/dsk/c3t15d0 (0/0/2/1.15.0) -- Boot Disk
/dev/dsk/c1t15d0 (0/0/1/1.15.0) -- Boot Disk
Boot: lvol1 on: /dev/dsk/c3t15d0
Root: lvol3 on: /dev/dsk/c3t15d0
Swap: lvol2 on: /dev/dsk/c3t15d0
Dump: lvol2 on: /dev/dsk/c3t15d0, 0

Re: lvlnboot remove boot

Can you post the output of "vgdisplay -v /dev/vg00".

Re: lvlnboot remove boot

It looks like the second disk c1t15d0 is not used at all for the logical volumes. If you look at the PE numbers you see that all the physical extends (PE) are free

I am guessing that you or somebody ran "pvcreate -B" on this disk and it shows up as a boot disk.

What are your plans about this disk? What do you want to do wuth it?

Re: lvlnboot remove boot

use vgreduce to remove that PV from the vg
man vgreduce

Then you can remove the LVM headres from the PV, use pvremove
or dd
