lvm 11.31 VG version 2.2 extend a 3 stripe lv to a 4 lun logical Volume

Hi all experts .

I looking for a possibility to ( on line )  change a 3 stripe LV towards a 4 stripe LV  ( and extend the fileset)

in my example I have a 3 striped Logical volume of 3 luns ( stripe=3)  , when the file system need to be extended possibility to ( on Line) extend  this stripe set into a 4 lun logical Volume ( stripe=4)?

I read in the latest whitepaper : LVM new Features in HP-UX 11v3 .

pvmove enhancements

Support for moving the physical extents from striped logical volumes and stripe mirror Logical Volume.

to move extend to other disk :

pvmove /dev/disk/diskX /dev/disk/<newdisk>

by creating a script if this not exist to move extend to the new disk in a order that at the end I got a 4 stripe set ?

At this moment I waiting for physical storage( ordered)  before I can test this .

Or  second option :

extend each lun ( online again ) by adding three luns to the 3 stripe set ( original stripe set of 3 18GB luns , extend each with another 3 times 18GB  at the end I got stripe set of 3 time (2 time18GB) .

because of the heavy IO read/write we want to have as big stripe as possible .

does anyone got any experience in one of these options , or does anyone knows a better solution ?
