LVM alternate link configuration

I have two hp9000
my hp-unix is b10.10 , and my diskarray is autoraid 12h.
my disk/volume manager is lvm.
now each hp9000 have two scsi connecting to my diskarry, what is the main difference configuration between the single scsi connected diskarry and the two scsi connected diskarray.

the cluster configuration difference
the package configuration difference
the package control configuration difference

Re: LVM alternate link configuration

The main difference is at the SCSI level not at the cluster, package, or package control level.

You need to have one of your SCSI controllers set to address 7 while the other is set to address 6. Your disk addresses therefore cannot be 6 or 7 since that would constitute a address clash.

Re: LVM alternate link configuration

Hi

It is none of differences mentioned. Two SCSI paths provide you redundency. In case of failure of one path other path can take over so that Disk array is always available to you.
