LVM, Multipath - Best Practise
I have few LUNs assigned to one HP-UX 11.23 PA box, all the LUNs are having multiple paths, all the LUNs are under control of secure path, with load balancing as round robin.
I want to group all these LUNs under a volume group by using HP LVM.
when i am creating PVs and VG, do i need to use the LUN disk file as /dev/dsk/c*t*d*, or do i need use the virtual disk file created by secure path (/hpap/dsk/hpap*) ?
what will happen, before installing installing secure path, i have created PVs and VG by using /dev/dsk/c*t*d* ?

Re: LVM, Multipath - Best Practise
lvm and pvlink allow failover and failback
securepath allow failover failback and multipathing
your vg can be configured with cxtydz or even hpap virtual devices
i personnaly uses std cxtydz in vg and securepath out of it
