Re: machine identification number

You can't and also it could be illegal. It can only be changed by a HP CE when there is a hardware replacement. Here is another posting, of the same question.

Re: machine identification number

Hi,
you can't change the machine identification number.
In uname you can't change any other option except nodename (uname -S)

Re: machine identification number

Hi Darren,

Machine identificationa number is unique with each machine. You cant change this.
Only when you replace the base board, it will get changed.

Re: machine identification number

You can not change the machine identification number as its specific to the machine for that reason only its used to lock the software licences with the machine ID.

Re: machine identification number

I am sorry but it doesn't seem that you have an option.
Either debug the program and see where it encrypts the licence or you'll have keep this appliction on this machine itself.
