machine with SAN boot fail over
Hi, I have 2 identical machine with SAN boot disks,my pplan is on have a fail over test one to another by booting one server with another servers boot disk.
Wether these will be any concerns over this.

If I understand correctly, for test reasons you want to try and boot the servers with the same san disk one at a time ?
in 11.11 and 11.23 for sure you are going to have problems because the HDW path changes from one to the other.
You can allways go into lvmode and import the vg00,etc,etc. But is not a trivial thing

Hi Pa8700,
If I am right,
You are trying to boot the Server 1 with Server 2 boot disk, probably you can think of this.
The failover can be done by showing visibility of the LUN(Zoning)for the other server .
assign the alternate paths as other servers boot disk.

GUys my os is 11.31 and using EVA.I will boot one N par with the boot disk of other.
