mail aliases

Hi,
I have a user who's last name has changed recently.Will it be any problem if i keep his unix id as same and change his lastname in mail aliases as in below.And i'm going to do this in NIS master.

old entry

vena :veny.anil@rbcsc.com

new entry

vena :veny.anor@rbcsc.com

I see nothing wrong with it as long as the name has also changed for any other system, like MS exchange.

Actually, what could it hurt to try it. Set up the alias, send an email, see if it's received. If not, you can always try another approach, but I think it will work fine.
