mail on root id recieved for updating new holidays

For some reason we are receiving on our hp systems this mail message......

Date: Tue, 30 Jan 2001 23:20:04 GMT

Tue Jan 30 23:20:04 GMT 2001
***UPDATE /etc/acct/holidays WITH NEW HOLIDAYS***

We cant seem to find anything in the manuals and havent made any changes recently.

Why does this mail appear and how do you stop it?

Re: mail on root id recieved for updating new holidays

Hi:

The file /etc/acct/holidays contains the information that System Accounting needs to distinguish between prime and non-prime time. Edit the "current year" field to reflect the current year.

Re: mail on root id recieved for updating new holidays

Thanks for the replies... I will try updating the file.

The holidays file has not been updated since 1997,
so im not too sure what has provoked this message.

Carl:

You should/can also adjust the holidays' dates therein -- and add or delete any you need.
