Mail service

Hi.
Few days ago, I changed my IP address and DNS resolver(because the domain change) for one of my servers, and since then I cannot send any message by e-mail.
I already change the domain in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf on the DM parameter. but it still doesn't work. Is there another file that I must configure?
Thanks

Re: Mail service

Hi,

What is the error you are getting. Do you have mail relay configured. If so, has the domain changed for the mail relay. Have you updated it in the sendmail.cf if you have mail relay configured.

So a sendmail -v email_add@some_domain.com

Your text here

.

This will tell you what is happening.

You can also use the "-d8.99 38.99" option after -v to get more diagnostic info.

Hope this helps.

Re: Mail service

Check for errors in either /var/adm/mail.log or syslog

What is result of:

mailq

Do you have anything lingering in /etc/hosts from old DNS?
