make_net_recovery and rpc.mountd daemon in hp-ux 11.31

Hi All
I am taking ignite of server A on a ignite server Server B by using the make_net_recover command.

rpc.mountd daemon is not running and and ignite image creation is successful.

Isn't rpc.mountd daemon be runing on the Ignite client (NFS Client) for any NFS Operation

Hi

the rpc.mountd is not running on the server.
I was expecting the make_net_recovry to fail with some NFS issue.

But the make_net_recovry command was successful

can u manually stop that and restart the NFS Service once again.

I need to know how did the make_net_recovery completed successfully with out the rpc.mountd not running on the Ignite client

I read some where that separate mount and file locking protocols are no more in NFS from version 4..
So i think that is the case why u are not seeing rpc.mountd

As suggested NFS v4 does need any daemons to be running on the client for any NFS operations.
