I thought pax did > 2 G.
1 suggest two things,
1> download 2G capable gzip
hpux.cs.utah.edu
2> download latest ignite.

Hi,

I am not sure, but you might have to create the
filesystem with large files option set.
newfs -o largefiles -F vxfs

Yes, magnus is correct too.
You'll have to make sure that the ignservers exported client directory is a mounted filesystem created with option largefiles.
Have a look at the fstyp command.

Also make sure that you download and install the latest version of gzip (1.2.4a - I think). The version that comes with HP-UX does not support files >2GB but the newer version does.

Once the new gzip is installed (in /opt/gzip) make sure that the new gzip directory is in your path first, or link the old gzip to the new.

Thanks for responses....still haven't got it to
work yet, but will continue....on a slightly
different note....after igniting a system has
anybody found the keyboard response to be slow?
I have ignited several c360 systems recently
and they all have a slight delay in responding to keyboard input....was trying to establish whether this was Ignite related or not...would
be interested if anyone out there has experienced similar ....
Regards,
John.
