make_net_recovery question

Hi all,

I do the make_net_recovery -A -s server.com -x inc_entire=vg00 After that, I running ignite command and I see the some yellow clients (maybe it indicate that the backup it's ok with warnings) and some others green (ok).

Could someone tell me the procedure to restore the make_net_recovery from server to machine ?

Thanks a lot.

Re: make_net_recovery question

basically you do boot lan. install from
the client and follow the GUI.

See this for more info on make_net_recovery:

Re: make_net_recovery question

Of course you use "boot lan install" from
Boot Menue, after stoped the regular boot.

Re: make_net_recovery question

Hi,

boot the client and access the main menu( by pressing any key within 10 secs)

main menu> boot lan. install

.don't interact with ISL
.select : Install HP-UX
.From the ignite-UX GUI select the client icon.
.choose install/new install
.select recovery configuration
never give up

Re: make_net_recovery question

Thank you for the last post. I just had an ignite push fail leaving the target system with no os. The post before this one had the command I needed but could not remember to retry the install from the damaged system.

See, you never know how a thread is going to help out.
