Re: make_net_recovery to other systems
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives/S042134 -anon=2,access=S042134
on the ignite server I have the correct directories, ownership and my exports file had the correct entries. Am I correct in running make_net_recovery on the client and not the ignite server

Re: make_net_recovery to other systems
Then, you can regularly run a make_net_recovery from the client.
The same is true to recover a client. You have to set it up on the ignite server first.
There is info in the knowledge base on how to recover an image from one system to another. I use it for testing patch bundles on a sandbox and it works well.

Re: make_net_recovery to other systems
Make sure that your ignite server has exported the directories (exportfs -a).
Now the other catch is that you have to make sure that you make the ignite directory with the archive accessible to all the servers.
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/archives/S042134 -anon=2,access=S042134
only exports that directory to the S042134 server. You need to change that to allow access to all the servers that you wish to ignite with that image.
You also need to make sure that each of the servers you wish to restore to is setup in ignite.
Then, you can follow the instructions in the knowledge base for restoring make_net_recovery server to different hardware. There are some symlinks you have to put in to link each of the new servers to directories to the directory you want to restore from.
The doc ID in the technical knowledge base is:
