make_recovery error

when i execute the make_recovery, it fails whit this error

make_recovery -A -v -d /dev/rmt/4m

Thu Oct 2 12:53:16 CDT 2003

Option -A specified. Entire Core Volume Group/disk will be backed up.

-hosts: No such file or directory

make_recovery(358): Error while reading through the /etc/mnttab file.

make_recovery(214): make_recovery(1M) encountered a fatal error.

make_recovery(216): Please fix errors and re-try.

Cleanup

I must stop the nfs.client server and run again de comand make_recovery to make the ignite tape.

Please your help, i don´t want to stop the nfs.client server everytime i need to make a ingnite tape.

Javier,

It seems to be complaining about the hosts file. Do you have a valid /etc/hosts file?

I guess u do have automounter running with the following entry in /etc/auto_master

net -hosts ???

this is the auto_master file content
/net -hosts -nosuid,soft
/- /etc/auto.direct

Look at the /etc/mnttab file and see if it shows the same file systems mounted.

thanks Robert....just i have HP-UX 11.0 64 bits...i will find the patches to my Operative System..

i´ve already check the mnttab all the filesystems mounted are in the mnttab.

Please someone have another idea..

How about using make_tape_recovery

The make_recovery command is obsolete.

Here is some code.
