Make recovery in HP-UX 11.23

Hi,
How to take make recovery in HP-UX 11.23
I am not sure about the syntax.

Could anyone help me in this regard.

I need to get the resulting tar ftpied to some other server.

load the writeble tape
make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00
a tape will be create without further interaction

Hi

If you want tar ftpied to other server then use make_net_recovery
1.Log on to the server where you want to save the recovery backup
2.Edit the entry in /etc/exports
3.exportfs -av
4.Log on to the server which you want to make recovery
5.make_net_recovery -v -s -a

If you want to use tape then use make_tape_recovery command.

make_tape_recovery -A -v -I -X inc_entire=vg00

Shalom,

If you use make_tape_recovery you can't practically ftp the results to another server.

It writes at tape.

If you want to get the results to another server, set up an NFS share on the other server with write privileges and use make_net_recovery to write the results directly to the NFS share.
